Installing your fan just takes a little patience & you’ll be fine.
Hook up power to your fan to make sure it works before installing it.
Choose your spot & make sure it’s square with your template & a large T square.
Once your square is marked drill 4 holes in the corner sections (not directly on or over the corners). These holes allow for you to insert your cutting blade.
Fit the trim ring to make sure your cut was large enough.
Prime & deburr/sand the bare metal after the cut.
Place enough butyl tape on the trim ring to cover it (cut off excess).
Place wooden trim square on the inside & use spanner clamps or friend you paid in beer/food to hold wooden square up.
Use 1/8″ drill bit to put pilot holes through roof.
Tape sealing area.
Seal trim ring to vehicle & seal tops of screws.
Pull tape before sealant hardens.
Install fan with 4 screws & seal those suckers too.
Pull plastic from top of fan if it’ll be outside in the Sun or else it’ll get nasty & very difficult to remove.
The plastic interior trim ring will be fitted once your ceiling is complete. Cut the interior trim ring with a table/miter saw if possible to get a square cut.
